Pro Comp Xtreme

A Bit of History

Pro comp was formed in 1992 as a company that manufactured after-market suspensions for off road vehicles.  They have continued that until now and will continue manufacturing and marketing them in the future.  In 1998, they added tires to their line of suspensions.

Tires

Because of the fact that they had already been making suspensions, Pro Comp knew exactly what type of tire was needed to go with their suspensions.  Pro Comp was well aware of the types of terrain that their drivers were going over and they knew what kind of tire it would take to stand up to the challenge of even the most daring of those drivers.  Pro Comp’s challenge then began to be the making of that tire.

Pro Comp Xtreme

In their research into what types of materials would make the most rugged of tires to go with their suspensions, the Pro Comp Xtreme was born.  There are basically two categories of Xtreme tires.  The first is the Xtreme all terrain radial.  These have a 3 ply build.  They also feature a tread design that is super aggressive.  The second class is the Xtreme Trax Radial.  These tires are quite unique in that they have a directional tread pattern.  The benefit of this is that it offers both a smooth and a quiet ride no matter what the terrain.  These were specifically designed for a UTVs side by side setup.

Pro Comp Wheels

Pro Comp was formed in 1992 to provide after-market suspensions to the Jeep and off road world.  They succeeded greatly.  Their suspensions and lift kits are now widely accepted and even requested.  After about 6 years, they expanded to add tires and wheels to their product line.

Now, chances are, if you have a 4x4 or off road vehicle that you have added an after-market suspension or lift kit to, you want larger wheels and tires for your vehicle.  I mean really, isn’t that why you wanted your vehicle jacked up in the first place?
Pro Comp knows this and has created wheels and tires in whatever size you need to turn your ride into your dream machine.

Wheels

Pro comp wheels are for those of you who want the after-market larger size wheels and tires that are required once you add a lift kit to your Jeep, truck or 4x4.  You can get them in a variety of sizes but most of them only come in two finishes: stainless steel or black.  Pro Comp also offers all of the wheel accessories that you would come to expect from a manufacturer who produces suspension and lift kits, wheels and tires.

Availability

Pro Comp knows that when you want your wheels, you want them now.  With that in mind, they have made it extremely easy for you to get what you need.  By going to their web site, you can order a catalog and then get your parts that way, or you can do a search for an authorized Pro Comp dealer in your area.  You can also get Pro Comp parts from various online dealers who can also be found on the Pro Comp web site.

Pricing

Pro Comp wheels are priced reasonably.  They make wheels for virtually any budget.  Of course, you can expect that the larger the wheel, the more they will cost.  Keep in mind though that you get what you pay for.

Warranty

Pro Comp believes in all of their products.  To prove this, all of their parts and products, wheels included, come with warranties.  All warranties are part specific.  Knowing this, you should be sure to read and thoroughly understand all of your rights and limitations regarding your product.  You can find warranty information in the material your wheels were packed in, or if you purchased them at a local dealer, they should explain it to you.
